Let’s face it. The culture we live in can be kind of shallow sometimes, encouraging us to focus on our looks, having the “in” clothing, house, car, you name it! Well, we want to help couples focus on their intimacy—all aspects of it. Because when it comes to that special someone, we don’t want our relationship to just look good to outsiders, we want a truly enriching and deeply satisfying friendship. So we developed Ahaba: Marriage Meter. We hear that it kind of a rare thing for apps to be approved by Apple on the first submission, but ours was and it is now available. So if you are interested, please check it out. I know I myself love it. If you would like learn more about it, or see more screenshots than what is available in the app store, please check out the website . It's not available for Android yet, but fear not! It is currently in development.
Ahaba is a word from the Old Testament that expresses the experience of a love which involves a real discovery of another with care and concern. With Ahaba’s Marriage Meter you can not only chart the physical signs of your fertility cycle (using Natural Family Planning), but you can also chart your relational needs. Have you had a stressful day? Record it in Ahaba Marriage Meter, and your spouse can have a heads up that you might need a little TLC when you see each other. The woman can enter her husband's email into the app so that he can get a daily update on how his wife's day is going. Have some great news to share? Put it in the app and your partner can anticipate your news for when you come home. Also in development is the ability for the man to record details about his day as well.
That’s not all, though. Ahaba Marriage Meter even goes beyond this. Women, let’s face it. Sometimes men need a little help in the “understanding women” department. Let us help them help you. We know that when you are menstruating the last thing you need is off-color jokes about this intimate aspect of who you are. We know that physically, you don’t have as much energy as you do at other times, and that relationally, you may feel pulled inward and need more time for rest and solitary reflection. Don’t berate yourself for taking some “me time.” Honor yourself! Some cultures have viewed this phase of the cycle as a woman’s time to gather her wisdom for the good of her tribe. With Ahaba Marriage Meter, your spouse can understand this about you and receive suggestions to honor this important part of you—like giving you more time for solitary reflection by picking up some of your household chores.
But men, don’t feel left out. We know that even though you don’t have a monthly cycle, there are times when you’d like that extra loving care too! Did you know that in a woman’s cycle, there are specific times when she naturally feels energetic, selfless, and nurturing? At those times, your spouse can honor herself by nurturing her valued relationship with you! Ahaba Marriage Meter can help her channel that great energy into building a solid relationship and expressing her thanks for all you do to nurture her. Maybe she can pick up some of your chores so you can have that extra time for yourself that we all need sometimes.
Ahaba Marriage Meter. Honor God's plan. Honor yourself. Honor your spouse.

Check out our Marriage Meter!
Well, I haven't really talked about it here, but I have some exciting news. For over a year, I've been on the team at Elizabeth Ministry International that has been working on the development of an iPhone app. It's called Ahaba Marriage Meter. So here is a screenshot and the description of what it's about:
